URGENT – UT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN ROME 31 JULY – 3 AUGUST 2025.
UT Rankings April 2025
WORLD UT CHAMPIONSHIP 2026.
Normally we hold four selection shoots each year to decide team places for the World Championships. The last one from the previous year and the three from the current year are used with the best three of the four scores to count. Given the World UT Championships 2026 will be held in Melbourne, Australia 19-26 February, their summer, we obviously cannot hold selection shoots within the normal timescale. We will therefore use the last three from 2025 (Fauxdegla – 10-11 May, Brook Bank – 12-13 July, Nutty – 27-28 September) and select the teams on the basis of the best two scores from the three competitions. In the event of a tie in any category the score from the BGP at Fauxdegla will decide. If there is still a tie a shoot-off will take place immediately after normal shooting has finished at the Nuthampstead event – one full round with full use of the gun followed, if necessary, by single barrel miss and out. Calculated from those two shoot’s High Gun score, only members who have a ranking points total below 70 from their best two shoots will be eligible for a team place.

UT – EUROPEAN TEAM SELECTION 2025.
The best 3 from 4 shoots (the last two from 2024 and first two from 2025) will count for the European Championship teams. Calculated from those three shoot’s High Gun score, only members who have a ranking points total below 100 from those three shoots will be eligible for a team place.
UT – WORLD TEAM SELECTION 2025.
The best 3 from 4 shoots (the last one from 2024 and first three from 2025) will count for the World Championship teams. Calculated from those three shoot’s High Gun score, only members who have a ranking points total below 100 from those three shoots will be eligible for a team place.
UT – WORLD TEAM SELECTION 2026.
Given the shoot will be in Melbourne, Australia, 19 – 22 February 2026, a decision will be made in due course as to the selection process.

UT – New Rule
UT – Unloading gun between all stands
The ISSF have introduced a rule whereby all shooters must unload their gun when walking from one station/peg to the next, in addition to unloading when walking back from station 5 to station 1.
The CPSA have adopted the same rule for ABT and DTL.
At its recent Board Meeting BICTSF decided to follow suit with Universal Trench effective 1st October 2024. Therefore guns must be empty when walking between any stands on a UT layout. In the event of non-compliance the usual FITASC UT sanctions will apply – first warning, second warning then target lost for the third and subsequent non-compliance.
