FURTHER UPDATE 8/5/2025 – FITASC Sporting European Championship – Czech Republic – 22nd-25th May 2025 Gun Import Information and Form
It has been brought to my attention that a number of shooters who have applied for the temporary gun import permit for this event have been less than polite to Isabella (the lady who is responsible processing the applications),when calling to find out when their permits will be issued, this has to stop.
To put things in context, there are 2 shooting competitions being held in the Czech Republic in the week that we are due to be there and she has been inundated with applications in the last 2 weeks and is doing her utmost to get them processed in a timely manner, therefore, I know it can be frustrating whilst waiting for the email to say it’s ready to pick up, so please be polite and respectful to Isabella and she will hopefully get those late application processed.
Tomorrow Friday, 9th May is the last day to submit your application.
Thank you
Nick Woodward.
We have been informed that the temporary gun import permit is taking approximately 3 weeks to process, also any applications received after 9th May will NOT be processed.
The best days to collect the permits are Monday or Wednesday between 14:00 and 16:00.
Email from Hugh Smith:-
Dear Nick,
I had a conversation with the CZ Deputy Consul this morning (Isabella Hubbard).
I have been informed that the consul was unaware (understandably) of the number of temporary permits they can expect to be applied for.
I have sent the current list of British competitors (66) to date.
Isabella informs me that this will be a high workload and advises that the British competitors need to apply for a temporary permit and not repeat, not to rely on border control at point of entry into the Czech Republic.
Do this ASAP is the advice.
