Normally we hold four selection shoots each year to decide team places for the World Championships. The last one from the previous year and the three from the current year are used with the best three of the four scores to count. Given the World UT Championships 2026 will be held in Melbourne, Australia 19-26 February, their summer, we obviously cannot hold selection shoots within the normal timescale. We will therefore use the last three from 2025 (Fauxdegla – 10-11 May, Brook Bank – 12-13 July, Nutty – 27-28 September) and select the teams on the basis of the best two scores from the three competitions. In the event of a tie in any category the score from the BGP at Fauxdegla will decide. If there is still a tie a shoot-off will take place immediately after normal shooting has finished at the Nuthampstead event – one full round with full use of the gun followed, if necessary, by single barrel miss and out. Calculated from those two shoot’s High Gun score, only members who have a ranking points total below 70 from their best two shoots will be eligible for a team place.Normally we hold four selection shoots each year to decide team places for the World Championships. BICTSF MEMBERSHIP 2025

With the new year upon us and a new season of shooting approaching the BICTSF Board advises of its recent decision that, in order for the BICTSF to continue to function and to have the funds to move forward, we need to increase the annual membership/subscription.

It is not a decision that has been taken lightly, but it has been agreed that the annual subscription be increased to £20 per member which will greatly assist us in covering the annual fixed costs of running the BICTSF, meaning that the four FITASC disciplines would be able to keep most of their respective income from selection shoots, thus enabling them to better fund GB teams at European and World Championship events.

Funding for our teams selected to represent GB abroad has always been a somewhat contentious issue and we anticipate this will help to ease the cost to individual members when competing abroad.

Please note: FITASC, Paris have stated that, from 2023 going forward, all UK shooters wishing to enter FITASC organised events, i.e. European and World Championships, will be required to provide their BICTSF membership number rather than their home nation (CPSA, SCTA, UCPSA, WCTSA) one when entering the aforementioned championships.

British OT GP will be held at Nuthampstead on 19-20 July 2025.

The competitions will be shot under ISSF format – 75 targets on Saturday, 50 targets on Sunday and then ISSF format Finals.

Please see below for information and gun import for for the FITASC Sporting European Championship being held in Most – Czech Republic – 22nd-25th May 2025.

We have been advised that a more simple Gun Import Form may be available to use in early 2025, therefore, you may wish to wait until January before submitting the application. As soon as we have the amended form it will be replacing the one below.
